About this tool

What does this splitter do?

It cuts one long draft into a sequence of posts that each stay within a character limit, so you can paste them into X/Twitter as a thread.

Where does my draft go?

Nowhere. The splitting happens in your browser; the text is never sent to a server.

What do you store?

Only your settings — limit, numbering, toggles, display name, and handle — saved in your browser's localStorage under the key oslikas-tts-settings. The draft itself is never stored.

How are characters counted?

It follows X/Twitter's rules: any link counts as 23 characters, CJK and emoji weigh more than Latin letters, and the post number counts toward the limit.

Is this an X preview?

No. The preview is a mock that looks familiar, not the real X interface, and it can differ slightly from how X counts or renders a post.
