About this tool

What does this tool make?

One image with your quote set on it, sized for a social network. Pick a shape (square, portrait, Story or landscape), choose a font and colours, then download the PNG or copy it to your clipboard.

Where does my quote go?

Nowhere. The text is rendered to an image inside your browser and is never sent to a server. The tool works offline.

What do you store?

Only your style — shape, font, colours, alignment and spacing — saved in your browser's localStorage under the key oslikas-qim-settings. The quote and attribution themselves are never stored, and closing the tab forgets them.

Is there a watermark?

No. The downloaded image is just your quote on your background.

Why does my image look different from a friend's?

The tool uses the fonts already installed on your computer, so the same words can be set in a different typeface on a different machine. The advanced font-family field lets you name any font you have; if it isn't installed, your browser substitutes one.

Why is my text tiny, and what do the warnings mean?

The size is chosen automatically to make your quote fit the card. If the quote is long, that size becomes small — the warning tells you so. Try a taller shape, a shorter quote, or set the size yourself with the slider. A second warning appears when your text and background colours are too close to read comfortably.

Which shape should I pick?

Square 1:1 suits the Instagram feed, LinkedIn and X. Portrait 4:5 fills more of the Instagram feed. Story 9:16 is for Stories and Reels. Landscape 16:9 sits naturally in a timeline.
